Mayan Violet
Mayan Violet produces a semi-transparent, clean blue-violet colour that is useful in landscape and botanical paintings.
Artist Notes: Mayan Violet is a wonderful choice for a clean earthy blue-violet. It mixes well with other colours, and is an excellent addition to any palette.
Paint Maker’s Notes: Contemporary Mayan pigments are made in the tradition of the Mayan civilization of the Americas. Made by precipitating organic dyes onto a clay base, these hybrid pigments are non-toxic, lightfast, and permanent.
