Indanthrone Blue
Indanthrone Blue
A very dark blue-violet, Indanthrone Blue is perfect for painting stormy skies, deep dark water, and dramatic shadows. Considered a warm blue because of its violet undertone Indanthrone is an excellent all-around blue for any palette.
Artist’s Notes: Indanthrone Blue mixes with other watercolours beautifully, creating deep dark violets when combined with Quinacridone Magenta, and is incredibly versatile when combined with Umbers to make natural looking shadows.
